Hobert Pruitt is a Decatur native who has spent 44 years running businesses in north Alabama, including serving as president of Pruitt’s Office Machines and GlobalCom Satellite Communications. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from Athens State University and has been a licensed realtor in Alabama and Florida for nine years.

Outside of business, he has been part of the Decatur community for a long time. He is a past president of the Decatur Lions Club, a group leader at First Baptist Church of Decatur, and a deacon at Memorial Baptist Church.

Pruitt Property Holdings owns and manages commercial office buildings in Decatur. Hobert handles the leasing himself, so the person you talk to about a space is the same person who owns the building and takes your call when something needs fixing.

How We Do Things

We rent to the kind of businesses that keep Decatur running. Insurance agents, bookkeepers and tax preparers, counselors, consultants, attorneys, and small congregations. Most of our tenants are one or two people who need a professional place to work and meet clients without taking on the cost of a storefront.
